Shelly 2PM Gen3
The Shelly 2PM Gen3 is a WiFi-controlled 2-channel relay that is primarily suitable for automating roller shutters, blinds, awnings, and all two-way AC motors. The two integrated power meters enable simultaneous measurement of consumption for each channel separately (PM = Power Metering), making the device also suitable for controlling two light channels or two wall outlets. The device can be loaded with up to 10A per channel and a maximum of 16A in total.
The Shelly Plus 2PM is intended for mounting behind the switch, wall outlet, or lamp connection and fits in most wall and ceiling boxes thanks to its compact design.
The Shelly 2PM Gen3 is easily set up and controlled through the Shelly Smart Control app or your preferred Smart Home or Smart Building system.
Shelly devices operate 100% locally and only need a local network to function. Shelly can be used alone in the Shelly Smart Control app or with more than 200 partner systems such as Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Home Assistant, Samsung SmartThings, Athom Homey, KNX, and many more.
Function
The Shelly 2PM Gen3 has many uses. It can be powered with 24V DC or 110-230V AC. The Shelly 2PM has two switching inputs that are optional to use. The device automatically measures the power consumption on each channel, which can be monitored through the Shelly Smart Control app and easily used in conjunction with automations.
The Shelly 2PM can be used for many purposes such as:
- Lighting control in two channels
- Control of wall outlets
- Control of blinds, roller shutters, awnings, garage doors, and the like.
Connection
The Shelly 2PM Gen3 can be connected to the internet or the local network via 2.4 GHz WiFi. In addition, the device has built-in Bluetooth just like the rest of the Pro, Plus, and Gen3 devices, which means that it can also be used as a gateway to Shelly Bluetooth battery-powered Bluetooth devices.
All Shelly devices work locally without connection to the Shelly Cloud, but it is recommended that this be activated for easy data storage and increased functionality. The devices can also communicate via MQTT, HTTP, and WebSocket. All support TLS.
Hardware
The device is equipped with generation 3 hardware, which includes the powerful ESP-Shelly-C38F CPU with 8MB flash. This makes the Shelly 2PM Gen3 future-proof and enables the use of scripting functions and virtual devices for advanced and user-customized functionality.
