Shelly 1PM Gen3
The Shelly 1PM Gen3 is a WiFi-controlled 1-channel 16A relay with a built-in power meter (PM = Power Metering) intended for mounting behind the switch, wall outlet or lamp connection and provides easy control and automation of lighting, wall outlets and all kinds of electrical appliances. Thanks to its compact design, it fits in most wall and ceiling boxes.
The Shelly 1PM Gen3 is easily set up and controlled through the Shelly Smart Control app or your preferred smart home system.
Shelly devices operate 100% locally and only need a local network to function. Shelly can be used alone in the Shelly Smart Control app or with more than 200 partner systems such as Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Home Assistant, Samsung SmartThings, Athom Homey and many more.
Function
The Shelly 1PM Gen3 has many uses. It can be powered with 24-30V DC or 110-230V AC. The device has a single switching input that is optional to use and is fully programmable. It automatically measures power consumption, which can be monitored through the Shelly Smart Control app and easily used in conjunction with automation.
The Shelly 1PM Gen3 can be used for many purposes such as:
- Lighting control
- Control of wall outlets
- Heating control (electric radiators, infrared heating panels and the like)
- Hot water heaters (can, for example, automatically turn on the water heater when electricity is cheap)
- Pumps
- Monitoring power consumption of washing machine, tumble dryer and the like.
Works locally - no gateway needed
All Shelly WiFi devices have a built-in web server, which means that you get a wealth of features that always work, whether you have an active internet connection or not. You do not need a gateway and can therefore get started with just a single Shelly device. The built-in web server means that Shelly has built-in memory and will therefore remember sunrise, sunset, schedules, etc., even when the network goes down. Relays and dimmers function as ordinary push relays and can therefore be used with your regular switches - even without internet. All inputs and outputs are fully programmable and only require local WiFi to communicate between devices. However, we still recommend having an active internet connection, as it opens up even more features.
Connection
The Shelly 1PM Gen3 can be connected to the internet or the local network via 2.4 GHz WiFi. In addition, the device has built-in Bluetooth just like the rest of the Pro and Plus devices, which means that it can also be used as a gateway to Shelly Bluetooth battery-powered Bluetooth devices.
All Shelly devices work locally without connection to Shelly Cloud, but it is recommended that this be activated for easy data storage and increased functionality. The devices can also communicate via MQTT, HTTP and WebSocket. All support TLS.
Hardware
The device is equipped with generation 3 hardware, which includes the powerful ESP-Shelly-C38F CPU with 8MB flash. This makes the Shelly 1PM Gen3 future-proof and enables the use of scripting functions and virtual devices for advanced and user-customized functionality.
